Nigel Quiney
This follow-up to Nigel Quiney’s first memoir was compelling for its account of how a young, gay businessman made it in the heady days of the sixties. From paper to giftwraps to those first eye-catching tote bags – Nigel Quiney designed them. I must have bought loads without having the first idea of who he was or how he’d done it. And all this from a man with no formal art training. I stand back in amazement at his talent and business acumen. And on top of all that, I love the way he writes – great sense of humour and so modest.
